IMPORTANT - HST TAX CHANGES:
As per recent changes in the Ontario Tax Code, most invoices created after May 1 2010 which include products and services that are to be delivered in part or wholly after July 1 2010, will include the new 13% HST tax, replacing both the GST and PST taxes. Some products previously exempt from PST will now be subject to HST, such as Internet and Digital Phone services.  For more details of how this HST TAX will affect you, please visit http://www.ontario.ca/taxchange or email us at telco@kelcom.com.
CABLE OR DSL?

wondergirlIn 2008, KELCOM became the first company in South-Western Ontario to offer customers a choice of an independent provider offering both CABLE and DSL High Speed Internet services. Having a choice is always a good thing, but how do you decide which service is best for you? Here are some things you should consider:

Do you have a traditional telephone line? If the answer is "no", Cable service may be your best choice in order to avoid the cost of the dry-loop circuit required for DSL services where a phone line is not available.

Speed vs. monthly usage limits - While Cable provides a higher maximum download speed, it also comes with monthly usage limits. KELCOM DSL service provides unlimited usage, but the maximum speed is somewhat lower when compared to Cable download rates.

Location, location, location - Just like any other broadband service, the availability of the service depends on technology availability in your area. In addition, some Cable customers may experience occasional slowdowns if the number of users in a certain area is very high.

Is there a price difference? Due to delivery costs, DSL service is usually slightly less expensive and free to activate.
